ETA of bus departure: 9:00amArrive at Painted Warriors Ranch to enjoy an enriching experience featuring a Forest Walk and an archery lesson, both of which showcase the deep connection to nature and the traditions of the Ojibway, Cree, and Mohawk cultures. The Forest Walk offers an immersive journey through the surrounding wilderness, where a knowledgeable guide shares the cultural significance of the plants, trees, and wildlife. As you explore the forest, learn about the traditional uses of the land for food, medicine, and materials for generations. Enjoy a traditional lunch on site.
Following the Forest Walk, participate in an archery lesson, where you will learn the skills behind using a bow and arrow, a vital tool historically used for both hunting and survival. The instructors, sharing their heritage, provide hands-on demonstrations of archery techniques, explaining how this practice has been passed down through the generations.
